15. Gratitude- We Love You Marco

As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them. -John F. Kennedy

A great friend and inspiration for all of us at Change Your Life Friday is preparing to make his transition.  The result, albeit sad is an extreme amount of gratitude for the love and lessons that he taught us and so many others during his life. So today we are grateful for the moments that we have had and the lessons we are still being taught.  It is also very clear through this experience that just feeling grateful is not enough for this or any other moment.  We are finding again that gratitude is an action, which is coming through thanks to all of the love and prayers being shared for him and his family in this most precious of moments.

This experience is an amazing reminder of how important it is to live a grateful life.  What does that look like?  It is very simple, share with others the good that they bring you, live with the knowledge that this life is a gift and always look for what you can give to the world while not worrying about a gain.  We choose to live this way today, care to join us and as a result, Change Your Life?

Affirmation:  I am so grateful for the gift of today; I will share it with EVERYONE I encounter.

Call to action: Live today for the world around you and see how much peace that you receive in return.  Find those spots where you can give of yourself and give freely.  Please share with us how your grateful living is inspiring your fellows.

  1. I was reminded this morning of the importance of gratitude in our lives. But more importantly is the need to acknowledge the people who have taken the time to do a kind and caring act that has impacted our lives. A simple call, email or a letter/card in the mail continues the circulation of love, joy and kindness.
Thank you changeyourlifefriday for being an important part of my Fridays…….

  2. We love you, Marco. I only pray that I can lead the life of action that he has inspired in me. He has influenced my life beyond words and I will be forever grateful. Today is truly a gift.

  3. This morning I was reading “Let love be without dissimulation” and next I read, “let love be the active ingredient of life”.
These words were sent to me via e-mail from my friend Ann, this morning for whom I am grateful to have in my life each and every day, if often as the case may be, via e-mail.
Reading about Marco I thought back to the last time he was in my home and how touched I was by his generosity with his time for those who were in need. I am grateful for his willingness to be present for them. He touched my life and all those that knew him, for this too I am grateful. May we touch the lives of those around us and love without dissimulation.
    Thank you all at Changeyourlifefriday!

  4. I met you guys on friday in the waiting room, I was the girl that picked up the needles through out the hospital (the gril from Ga). I enjoyed the conversations and the company while i was taking a break. My first impression was funny guys, no cares in the world and i honestly didnt think that the website was going to be as inspiring as it is. Your sells pitch was not too convincing. Since coming to your site I really feel like things in my life are going good, and I really believe its the karma of your site. Life is good right now and I plan on sharing CYLFriday with everyone I know. Ya’ll are good people and I’m glad I had the pleasure meeting yall and seeing what CYLFriday is all about.

    • Shawna,

Thank you for stopping by ChangeYourLifeFriday.com even though our pitch was below par. We were running off very little sleep, and our friend was in a very fragile state. We also thank you for sharing this site with everyone that you know. If you have time please like our Facebook page “Change Your Life Friday” and follow us on twitter @CYLFriday.
